Pool Grout

Two main kinds of Grout that are commonly used when pools are tiled are :-
• The Epoxy grout, and
• The Classic Portland Cement pool tile grout.
The Epoxy Grout is tougher than cement and resistant to discoloration as well as extremely lasting. Conversely, this type of grout is far more expensive that cement, therefore, for comprehensive pool overhauls, then it is much more economical to use concrete grout. When there is a minor project, then one may recommend that epoxy grout is used, as this type of grout has a shelf life that is almost indefinite.

Once you are going to grout a pool, then there are some tile repair products that is paramount for use; so that durability is achieved. A water-resistant grout, is a key material to be used, you may also use the epoxy grout since it is naturally waterproof and is a specialized grout for this purpose.
An additional thought that should be observed when selecting a pool tile grout is the colour grout that will be used. Having a well-kept pool increases the value of the property, however it can be very different if the reverse is true and also extremely unsightly. In view of the fact that grout loses colour eventually and can become discoloured, therefore is pool tile repairs are done, then it is extremely likely that the colour will be mismatched with the original.
